Grotte Di Castellana

Close to Alberobello is UNESCO World Heritage site Grotte di Castellana. These underground caves have been rated as the most impressive in Italy and the Grotto Bianca is one of the most beautiful in the world! Entrance is through an extraordinary cave 100 metres long x 60 metres deep where alternative tours of 1km or 3km can be taken through caves with amazing curtains of multi-coloured crystalline deposits festooning the walls among an array of stalactites and stalagmites.
